L. Scott Watson

Scott Watson attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and the University of Alabama where he received a BS Degree in Business Administration and played number one on the University’s tennis team. He served in the United States Army on active duty and in the reserves where he attained the rank of Captain.

Mr. Watson is a seasoned financial executive with a diversified career in financial services. He is recognized for the superior operating performance achieved by companies he has served in senior management and as Chief Executive Officer. He has spent over 15 years as a bank CEO in metropolitan Atlanta and over seven years in senior management of major banking companies. Companies with whom he has been associated include Bank South, First National Bank of Atlanta and Wachovia.

Mr. Watson retired from Banking in 1988 and founded Scott Watson & Associates, Inc. in 1989 to provide management consulting and executive search services to financial institutions. It has achieved a reputation of successfully completing executive search assignments with individuals of high competence and excellence.

Active in industry affairs, he is a former chairman of Bank Administration Institute's Community Bank Council and a former member of the Bank Administration Institute board of directors.
